WE DEVELOP CREATIVE ENABLERS THAT TURN DATE INTO MEANINGFUL PATTERNS AND OBJECTS.
PULSAR is a collaborative project from artist Frederik de Wilde and Bregje Cox that intends to ambitiously transform the design process with the help of innovative custom software. Fashion has been struggling to reinvent itself in the midst of rampant industry abuse, human rights violations and issues with fast fashion, pollution, production and the quality of garments which has resulted in a loss of its original appeal and meaning. Our project PULSAR is about translating data into meaningful patterns (e.g. textile, weaving, printing) and 3D and 4D printed objects (e.g. sunglasses, bracelets, jewellery) by applying data-driven material modelling. Our collection is generated and infused with celestial data provided by NASA. By using data in our design- and creation process we keep our digital ecology clean, sustainable, meaningful and showcase its potential as a source of inspiration, storytelling, and personalization.
